A Day With Jeffrey
August 27, 2018

Undoubtedly the star of the show, Jeffrey's painting of the interior of the Louvre pyramid is a tour de force of perspective, lighting and figure composition....

Here Michael Chaitow (left) and David listen as Jeffrey elucidates the finer points of this unconventional view of the seafront at Blackpool...

Jeffrey was brought up in Blackpool where his parents ran a boarding house. He is pointing out the reflections on the side of the tram...

Michael is immensely impressed by Jeffrey's painting of Innsbruck, plus he remembers the town from his childhood - he simply has to have a photograph of this stunning painting!...

Maybe I'll get a better shot from here?....

What? If Leonardo had had a smartphone camera, I'm sure he would have used it!...

"Hmm - not bad at all" I imagine Jeffrey saying, modestly. The scale and scope of this painting is quite mind-blowing - Jeffrey looks at it afresh....

Agincourt Square (Monmouth) - a study of reflections...

"This is in the town where my son went to school" Jeffrey explains....

David and Jeffrey examine this French street scene set in the ancient town of Camaret-sur-Aigues...

Discussing the use of rythm in this unconventional view of Istanbul...

"Come on guys, it's time for our group shot!" Jeffrey and Michael are so engrossed in conversation that David has to tug at them to get their attention!...

The three Musketeers in front of Jeffrey's "Louvre" painting...

What a wonderful day, and what a fantastic exhibition! David surveys the whole room...

Later, relaxing in Jeffrey's home with more recent paintings of Blackpool's funfair...

Jeffrey called his exhibition of Selected Paintings 1990-2002 "Part of a Journey" and the "3 Musketeeers" reflected on the much bigger journey the three of them had experienced in art - with the best to come!!
