Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond
November 18, 2017

David and Jeffrey have been friends since the days at Central School of Art when they shared bacon rolls and explored Bonnard and other inspiring artists together...

Over the years Jeffrey remained true to a very bold and distinctive style, a portrayal of life as it really is, people doing what they do in public places all over the world. Jeffrey paints it all, pink blancmange roof to glasses reflecting selfie photography...

In many paintings Jeffrey appears himself.... here sporting a Man United shirt

Here relaxing with a newspaper...

The move between music and art is wonderfully described in an article in Lancashire Life which is based on an interview with Jeffrey before his first one-man show. Click here to read.

Long time friends reunited - David and Jeffrey at the gallery yesterday...

The Fylde Gallery is right next to the cafe area of Booth's supermarket in Lytham St Anne's... but apart from that description anything seeming "ordinary" disappears. The gallery is spectacular in its architecture and is professionally designed to display art at its best. Jeffrey was quite right to seize this wonderful opportunity!!!

On the day David visited there had been 69 visitors during the morning, and the numbers attracted were starting to reach record levels as news of the extraordinary sizzling exhibition spread to friends and lovers of art, and the cult followers of of all things Jethro Tull.... Amazing though Jeffrey was in his striped suit and bass guitar, the world is going to remember this musician as a brilliant, witty and mischievous artist with extraordinary skill. As a friend and colleague, David was blown away by the impact of this exhibition which includes many of Jeffrey's recent paintings

The exhibition is open until 3rd December so there is still time to visit and join us in a "sizzling experience", you will not regret it!!...
